Hey all; The city of Berlin, BoT, Berlin PD and the Androscoggin Valley ATV club have been working to get the two trails connected. The Berlin City Council and the Police Department want to see this trail got through the city following the snow machine trail. BoT has been working with the group trying to figure out a way to connect the trails together. We have all meet over the last two months. We have a few routes planned out. The the next meeting is open to the public. It is at Berlin City Hall on Feb 20th, at 10 am. If you are interested in having this trail and have questions or just want to support the club, just show up. Have any questions please feel free to ask.... Dan,
That's good news. A group of us from southern NH spent a weekend up there last fall and had a great time. The views from the top of Jericho are spectacular. The trails were great and we can't wait to get back up there this spring.
I hope you guys are able to get the two sections connected as that'd be pretty cool.

Hi Dano,
My wife and I are just getting into ATVing and have purchased two new Honda Ranchers and look forward to riding the Jericho trail system and exploring the beauty of that region. If we did not live so far away in Southern New Hampshire we would be up there to support you all.
Please keep us informed as to the status of connector.

Dan, I was part of the group with Ken (Rockrimmon ATV Club) and we had a blast up there! We are looking forward to heading back up there this summer. We are hoping that the camping will be available. If the actual "camping" areas are not finished, do you know if riders can "rough" it and camp on their own? Thanks, Ed Club Mechanic Rockrimmon ATV Club

The State BOT has not said anything to us (AVATV Club) concerning anything about Jericho trails, camping, tenting, etc. All We know is that they want to start doing trails in the Head Pond area.

As Henry stated there is no camping at the park at this time. The State is looking into putting in a camp ground in at the park. There are a few camp grounds in the area that are not to far away from Jericho or Success trails. There are 2 in Gorham and 1 in Milan.
Hope to see you on the trails...

This is still being worked on by BoT, the City and the ATV Club. The state is working with the land owners to get permission to use their land for the trail. Due to all the warm weather, thank god, the snow mobile trail should be or is closed going through the city due to the lack of snow. There is still alot of work to be done on this trail to connect the trails. We still need a way to get through the old mill property. I am hoping to have one of the trails open this year. We are still working on this with the City and State.
The other think that might it easier to get into to the city is the bill to allow atv to use some of the state roads. This is still being worked on in Concord.
I will post more as I get it.
Thanks

The trail through the city is being looked into by a council member, the deputy police chief and avatv trailmaster. There is a very good posibabilty it will be done in early summer. The trail has allready been laidout so it just getting the ok. If it goes right the state DOT will have nothing to do with it, completly in city limits.

Go to avatvclub.org. find the direction. they will take you to either Success or Jericho, but right now the 2 are not connected. City is still working on it.
PS. There is no more KFC in Berlin. It is in Gorham on Rt 2.

Update....The club meet with Chris Gamache on Wednesday, June 24, 09 and he advised that the 2 connecting trails are pretty much all set on the State of NH BoT end. They have finished talking to all the land owners and all have OK the use of Atv's on their property. On the Berlin trail it is up to the City of Berlin to finish. I heard that there might be a meeting soon to start this process. In Gorham the State BoT will be meeting with the town manager and selectmen as well as a public meeting. Not sure when this will take place, the State BoT is looking to get the trail out to Moose brook state park for camping spots fr atver's.
I will update when I have more information.
