How long did it last? And was it deep charged or short charged forming a 'memory'? Knowing Snoman, I can guess that it wasn't from over use that killed the Battery. ;D.2007-2009, 2 years old. Not unheard of but could be a sign of something wrong...1st Check for Electrolite in the Cells, unless its a maintaince free battery which you can't check. I'm guessing its dry.. either a dead short somewhere or as in the case of mine, which just croaked..a small crack in the case caused by a wayword stick or rock under the fender well where the battery is kept. All the juice leaked out... dead battery....Real Cold weather can split the case too. In case you wondered Polaris is not cheap for Batteries... Useing Battery Tender Jr. Constantly monitors the battery without the damaging effects of trickle chargers (a trickle charger will eventually overcharge a battery or boil it dry) Battery Tender voltage output compensates for temperature changes, providing additional protection Initial charge brings battery to full charge at approximately 14.2V After full charge is reached, converts to float charger and monitors battery at 13.2V Although a constant charge is being applied to the battery, there is little or no current (aprox. 10 milliamps) Periodic maintenance is recommended, but Battery Tender Plus can monitor a battery for years without the risk of boiling or destroying the battery 2009 Rocky Mountain ATV/MC YUASA Standard Battery YB30LB Fits: 2006, POLARIS, SPORTSMAN 500 X2 4X4 Regular: $141.95 Our price: $98.99 Parts Unlimited Part# 1091420010 #YB30CL-B 2113-0076 $103.95 Go to this web site to read more then you need to know about ATV Batteries!!!atvconnection.com/Features/Feature_Articles/A-primer-on-ATV-batteries.cfm
