Are you looking at a power lift or manual? The manuals are rugged enough and cheap enough, but you may need to determine whether the machine will balance properly and still provide access to the oil drain/etc.

I use a motorcycle /atv lift from Lowes[kobalt] lifts 1500# 4.5-16.5" lift capacity hold all 4 wheels of ground fine real stable once you get the position right on frame when I need access to lift point under frame i just put blocks of something under each tire .Works great on my polaris 850.remove lift do what I have to and then get back under with lift when done stores in hardley no space and works good for lifting up front of sleds also I think I only paid around 100.00 bucks Hope this helps
