Hello, I heard there was talk about opening the trails early this year? I was just wondering if they're going to be opened early. Thanks!

State laws states that atv trails will open on May 23rd, not before. Could even be later if we were to get a lot of rain beforehand.

Ahh, thanks! I might have to go out today! haha also, I live and Berlin and I like to ride my bicycle around, and I noticed there are ATV signage going on the old rail bed behind the Big Apple. Is this going to be open this year?

Sort of a weird sign... since an ATV will never be more than 50 inches wide.

Rabid it also says utv's which I think are already over 50"....not sure why, maybe it is at the end of the trail in Gorham.

Yeah, anything quad under 50 is already considered an ATV...

Laws states maximum of 50 inches on Rail Trail. UTV's have not been defined by state law yet. The only UTV allowed on State Rail Trails is the Razor. Also, dirt bikes are not allowed on the Corridor 19 Trail per Land Owner regulations. Dirt bikes are allowed on the Presidential Rail Trail. Please don't get caught where you are not allowed. Good reason to close the trail permanently. OBEY the Law Please.

'Other' in that category is anything that does not meet the definition of ATV, under State law the RZR is an ATV... just like a track-modified ATV is no longer under State law an 'ATV'; its a snowmobile.
