Hello, I was looking at the new trail map for Jericho and saw the "Head Pond Tract" on the map, I was just wondering what this will be like, as I looked at some of them during the hunting season. Or maybe I was just looking at new snow machine trails? I'm asking to be sure, and satisfy my curiosity. Thanks.

Headpond trails will be open later this summer. I don't know just when they will be open for they still have to work out with a land owner.

Here is what everybody has been looking for....the Head pond trails are open....Here is a press release I received today... New Terrain Opens at Jericho Mountain State Park (Concord, NH) The New Hampshire Division of Parks and Recreation’s Bureau of Trails announced today that ten more miles of trails have opened Jericho Mountain State Park. The new terrain consists of three new loop trails on the northern parcel of the park, near Head Pond. These trails will offer elevation changes, views and exciting riding. One of the new loops has a section with a 150’ bridge over wetlands. “We are excited to add new terrain as these trails expand the riding at Jericho to over 65 miles,” said Chris Gamache, Bureau of Trails Chief. “Prior to this expansion, most riding was concentrated to one section, now the riding is throughout the park.” Located in Berlin, Jericho Mountain State Park is the newest state park in New Hampshire. The park was originally purchased with the goal of providing more Off-Highway Recreational Vehicle (OHRV) riding. The majority of funding for the purchase of this park was from OHRV registrations. The park offers a day-use area with a beach for swimming, pavilion and boat launch. The park is known for the 65 miles of OHRV trails that have been developed since the state acquired the park. The Bureau is in the process of building a new Visitor’s Center that will house visitor information, restrooms, offices and storage. The Bureau of Trails is one of four bureaus within the New Hampshire Division of Parks and Recreation, along with the Parks Bureau, Bureau of Historic Sites, and Cannon Mountain. The Division manages 92 properties, including state parks, beaches, campgrounds, historic sites, trails, waysides, and natural areas. The Division of Parks and Recreation is one of four divisions of the Department of Resources and Economic Development. Dano, That is great news. Can you tell us how to properly access these trails, starting at Jericho Motorsports? Thanks

Yes the trail head is located in the area of Jericho Motorsports. Signs are up through out the entire trail area. The map is on the AV ATV Club web site front page.

Sent some pictures Dano. Nice trails. A little tricky last Saturday with the layer of ice covered with snow. Took some time negotiating the downhills. Moved a couple deadfalls off the trails.
